  • Behold Our Pattern

Growing up as a teen-ager in what is commonly called a "Non-Institutional" Church of Christ, I remember many lessons about observing the "pattern" for the worship of the church. I've come to realization over the years there sure is a lot of confusion about this so-called "pattern"..... ...

"I am a wife, mother, and yaya(grandmother)! I have recently begun to refocus my spiritual walk toward God's greatest commands...Matthew 22:34-38...To love Him with all my heart, my soul, and my mind...and to love my neighbor as myself. Maurice (Bebe) Isrel

How I hope God sees me: 1) Disciple of my Lord and Savior Jesus of Nazareth 2) Husband of loving wife Julie 3) Blessed dad of Nathan and Natalie 4) Preacher in the Lord's church 5) IBMer for 30 years

Other things? Born and bred in Atlanta. Two brothers and two sisters scattered across the country, and parents to whom I owe more than I could ever repay. Went to college at the University of West Florida in Pensacola for a major in Math, and a minor in beach :-) Jewel and I travelled in our younger days (Panama City (Fl), Denver, L.A.), but happy to be adopted by the beautiful city of Raleigh for 27 years. Love sports; football first (Go ECU!), college basketball second (been to about 25 NCAA tournaments), golf 3rd. Use to be a decent golfer (a few rounds in the 70s), but am a duffer these days. Love to read - Dean Koonz is my favorite.
